Disney California Adventure Park
Disney's California Adventure Park (commonly referred to by its initials, DCA) is a theme park in Anaheim, California, next to Disneyland Park and part of the larger Disneyland Resort. Walt Disney Company opened it on February 8, 2001 This 55-acre theme park was constructed as part of a major expansion that transformed the Disneyland area and its hotels into the Disneyland Resort and consists of five areas: Sunshine Plaza, Hollywood Pictures Backlot, The Golden State, A Bug's Land and Paradise Pier.

Most of them meant to resemble or recreate various aspects about California, its culture, landmarks and history. Often referred to by its initials, DCA features a different line-up of attractions from those of Disneyland, including some family-friendly rides as well as an emphasis on adult-oriented thrill rides.

Always try to buy your tickets in advance, to save time when you get to the park. The must-rides here are Screamin', Soarin', the Grizzly River Run and Tower of Terror. You can finish all four rides within two hours on most days. Check out Monsters, Inc. and the Aladdin show if you have kids, then head back across the esplanade to Disneyland.

Location: Disney's California Adventure is part of the Disneyland Resort, located just off I-5 in Anaheim, California, one hour south of downtown Los Angeles.
